The irouchikake (色打掛) is a very colourful, ornately decorated type of overcoat worn on top of women's kimono. It is used for very special occasions, including by brides.
The hakama (袴) is a type of traditional Japanese menswear, worn around the waist over a kimono. This plan includes the hakama and kimono bearing a family crest.
The homongi (訪問着) is a formal kimono, worn when visiting others' homes, or events or celebrations like weddings and important parties.
