Kumano-gawa Onsen Satsuki （ ）

Enjoy a day trip at the pure, green hot springs

A day-trip onsen hot spring, surrounded by the mountains of Oku-Kumano. Outdoor baths where the green panorama can be seen are popular here. The onsen is a simple alkaline spring. It is said to help alleviate neuropathic pain, muscle pain, chronic gastrointestinal disease and other ailments. The open-air bathtub is shallow, letting you rest your head and look up at the sky for the ultimate relaxation experience.

The hot spring was re-opened in April 2014, following damage from a typhoon in 2011.

Outdoor Bath

There is a spacious open-air bath with a commanding view of the Kumano Mountains and an overwhelming sense of freedom.

Rest Space

There is also a relaxing space where you can rest your body after getting out of the hot spring.
